Ceramic Spray Gun Ceramic Coating Spray Gun
The ceramic rod is manufactured by compressing molten ceramic powder to achieve uniform coating quality after spraying. According to different applications, ceramic rods can be divided into the following three categories:
1、Wear resistance: chromium oxide rods have the best effect. Others such as alumina rods and alumina and titania can also be used.
2、Heat resistance: Zirconia rods are the best, which can reach 2482ºC.
3、Insulation and anti-corrosion: alumina rod is the best.

Ceramic Spray Gun Ceramic Coating Spray Gun

The ceramic rod flame spraying equipment produced by Beijing CMD Surface Technology Equipment Co.; Ltd. uses ceramic rods (ф6*600mm) as raw materials. The ceramic rods are placed on the flame spray gun. The ceramic rods are fully melted and atomized in the spray gun. The particles in the molten state have high kinetic energy and thermal energy, and are sprayed on the metal or non-metal surface at a high speed of 170m/s to form a hard chemically stable coating. The ceramic rod spraying equipment is different from powder spraying that uses high-temperature airflow to spray small particles out. In the powder spraying process, the powder does not have sufficient residence time in the airflow, so all the ceramic particles cannot be completely melted. The ceramic rod spraying equipment ensures that the particles are fully melted and there is a higher adhesion between the particles, so the ceramic rod coating has a stronger adhesion rate and bonding force, so the ceramic rod spraying thickness can reach more than 3mm.

The sprayed parts have excellent wear resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, heat insulation and electrical insulation properties due to the protection of ceramic coatings. Ceramic rod flame spraying is a kind of equipment with low cost, stable quality and easy operation the spraying method, the wear resistance of the workpiece after spraying is particularly good. Taking chromium oxide as an example, its wear resistance can reach 8 times that of plasma spraying. And widely used in aircraft engines, space rockets, high-speed wire drawing machine tower wheels, textiles, chemical fiber, light industry, petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, machinery manufacturing, large-scale anti-corrosion projects, etc., and have won unanimous praise.

Principle of Spraying
The ceramic rod material is atomized by high-pressure air after being melted by a high-temperature flame at 2760ºC. Its molten molecules hit the substrate at an ultra-high speed of 152-244m/s. Because it still remains molten when it hits the surface of the substrate, the molecules and molecules It has very high bonding strength. Using CMD-CS ceramic rod flame spraying equipment, the spraying thickness can reach 0.1-3mm.

Equipment composition:

Equipment composition: ceramic rod flame spray gun, host, oxygen flow meter and acetylene flow meter, spray gun wire feeding adjustment.
Self-prepared by the user: air compressor with a displacement of 1.8m3/min, a pressure of more than 7 kg, an oxygen cylinder, and an acetylene cylinder.

Introduction to ceramic rods:

Material classification and usage
  1. Alumina: The color is white, and the melting point is 2050°C. Due to its high hardness, it can be used as a wear-resistant coating for mechanical seals, plungers, shaft parts and other occasions, and it is also resistant to acid, alkali, salt and other corrosion.
  2. Aluminum and titanium mixed ceramics: With the increase of TiO2, the coating changes from light gray to blue-black, and its melting point is about 1800°C. The coating has a low porosity and a good finish after polishing. It does not generate static electricity during use. Therefore, aluminum and titanium ceramic coatings are widely used in chemical fiber textile, printing, printing and dyeing industries.
  3. Chromium oxide: the color is dark green, the coating is micro-dense, the smoothness after polishing is very good, it has good chemical stability, and it is insoluble in acid, alkali, salt and other solvents, so the coating is used in various Used extensively in corrosive media, it has high hardness, which is equivalent to tungsten carbide and cobalt, and can be used in wear-resistant applications.
  4. Zirconia: It is white in color and has a melting point of 2500°C. It is used for high temperature insulation systems of aerospace engines.
